Independent Contractor Agreement
Version 2026-07-02
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Independent Contractor Agreement ("Agreement") applies to Earners who accept and perform work ("Gigs") through GoHustlr. By accepting a Gig or receiving payment through the Service, you agree to this Agreement, together with the Terms of Service.
1. Independent contractor status. You are an independent contractor. Nothing in this Agreement or your use of the Service creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint-venture, or franchise relationship between you and GoHustlr. You are not entitled to any employee benefits (such as health insurance, workers' compensation, unemployment, paid leave, or retirement), and GoHustlr does not withhold income, Social Security, Medicare, or other taxes on your behalf.
2. Control over your work. You decide whether, when, where, and how to offer your services and which Gigs to accept or decline. GoHustlr does not set your schedule, direct the manner or means of your work, require exclusivity, or supervise the services you perform. Your agreement to perform a Gig is directly with the Poster.
3. Your responsibilities. You will perform work competently, professionally, safely, and in compliance with all applicable laws, licenses, and permits. You are responsible for determining whether you are legally permitted and qualified to perform a given Gig and for declining work you are not equipped to do safely and lawfully.
4. Tools and expenses. Except where a Poster expressly provides materials, you supply your own tools, equipment, transportation, and supplies, and you bear your own business expenses. The in-app Tax Center is a convenience for tracking income and potentially deductible expenses; it is not tax advice.
5. Taxes. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all federal, state, and local taxes on income you earn, including cash payments arranged off-platform. For payments processed through Stripe, you may receive tax forms (for example, an IRS Form 1099-K) where required by law and applicable thresholds. Consult a tax professional about your obligations.
6. Payments and fees. Payments for platform Gigs are processed through Stripe and released to you after the work is verified, minus GoHustlr's service fee (disclosed before the Poster confirms). To receive funds you must set up and maintain a Stripe payout account. GoHustlr does not guarantee payment for work arranged or performed off-platform.
7. Insurance. You are responsible for carrying any insurance appropriate to the work you perform. GoHustlr does not provide insurance coverage for you.
8. No background checks; your own judgment. GoHustlr does not conduct background, reference, or qualification checks on Posters or other users. You are responsible for evaluating each Poster and Gig and for your own safety, including declining or leaving any situation that feels unsafe.
9. No guarantee of work or income. GoHustlr does not guarantee any minimum number of Gigs, bookings, hours, or income, or that any Gig will be available to you.
10. No authority to bind GoHustlr. You have no authority to act for, make commitments on behalf of, or bind GoHustlr, and you will not represent yourself as an employee or agent of GoHustlr.
11. Compliance and prohibited work. You will not use the Service to offer or perform work that is illegal, hazardous beyond what a Poster has been clearly warned of, or otherwise prohibited by the Terms of Service. You are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the work you perform.
12. Liability and indemnification. GoHustlr is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from work you perform or arrange, or from your interactions with Posters or others. You agree to indemnify and hold GoHustlr harmless from claims and expenses arising from your work, your conduct, or your violation of this Agreement or any law, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Term and termination. This Agreement applies whenever you use the Service as an Earner and continues until you stop using the Service or your account is terminated. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including 1, 5, 7, 8, 12) survive termination.
14. Acknowledgment. By accepting, you confirm that you have read and understood this Agreement and agree to operate as an independent contractor, not an employee of GoHustlr.
